Blink was in boarding or in the shelter since he came to 4 Luv, so he waited very patiently for his foster or forever home. The first night he came to me he did cry at night, but after that initial first night he has not had any issues and just goes to sleep or lays quietly in his crate. No accidents in his crate over night or if I can’t make it home over lunch to let him out. He LOVES to play with stuffies, balls, ropes, you name it and he will play with it. He does like to chew on hard toys or bones but he’s not destructive. He does very well on his walks and enjoys all the new smells. Blink takes direction very well from my resident dog, Blink is very easy going which helps with my resident dog. If I leave Blink out of the crate while I walk my resident dog I come back to Blink sitting and waiting quietly at the door for us. He’s a goofy loving boy. 10/19/2024 Building Volunteer Feedback: Blink 182 is still patiently waiting for a foster home and is now enjoying life at a boarding facility where he is in play groups with other dogs. While at the shelter initially a lot of volunteers were totally charmed by this sweet two year old pittie mix…and I am one! It’s been my pleasure to take him on various outings in the community. He went to the Air Museum for an obedience class and met several dogs quietly and politely. He showed he excelled at sit, down and shake and is learning touch. He rode quietly in the car, but wasn’t brave enough to get in by himself. Our next couple of outings have been to Gooseberry and Lindenwood Parks for long nature walks. He walks very nicely and can be redirected easily when squirrels annoy us. We have met runners, bikers and walkers and he doesn’t bark and follows me as I move to allow space to pass by. Earlier this week he met three people on a photo shoot on the walk bridge and allowed them pets. He is now putting his front paws on the car seat when we get to the car, but I have to boost his back end in. And now today I took him to Unglued’s Fall Festival out of town where he met dozens of new friends, both male and female. I was so proud of him. Not once did he bark, even when another dog barked at him. This event was out of town and for the first time he decided to climb from the back seat to ride shotgun next to me. Blink is such a great dog and has the softest, velvety fur and loves to be stroked on his neck and ears. I can so see this handsome guy cuddled up next to his person. 9/14/24 Building Volunteer Feedback: Blink 182 is such a honey, he loves scratches, pets, snuggles, and all the people love. He is shorter than you would think, which makes him a great size to fit in anyone's home. Blink takes treats well, walk on a leash well, loves peanut butter and has soulful eyes. He does bark loudly, but he is not aggressive. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
