Online Adoption Application › Sweet Luna came to our rescue with puppies. She was an incredible momma. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. She is a border collie mix who loves walks and playing with other K9's. This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence. She has made great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " Luna is better than a good pet, she's a good friend and a great roommate". She will do best with a family who responds in a calm, relaxed approach with a confident pack leader. Because she is a border collie mix, she is highly intelligent, and for the most part not too energetic, but an active family is best for this girl. She is affectionate, loving & loyal. Her foster said she is the biggest snuggle bug & loves to be right next to her people although she is selective!! Luna is the perfect girl when given the time to settle in!! She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love & patience to show her she is safe & part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other K9's. However, she does not tolerate puppies. She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order.
