Online Adoption Application › Butter has been dubbed a great dog with very good manners! That's quite impressive considering he is so young. At such a young age, this beagle mix has learned to let his person know when he needs to go potty. He loves to play with K9 friends, shares his toys and does NOT get grumpy about sharing his food. He doesn't mind a good rub-a-dub-dub in the tub as long as it means he gets to cuddle on the couch with you. Butter is a good mix of affectionate and energetic. He does well in crowds and hasn't met a stranger he didn't like. Butter is in the DASH Training Program and is learning basic commands but is picking them up really quickly. However, he has been known to have a "puppy" attention span at times. He can be vocal in the crate and is still working on leash training. He loves a good conversation with other dogs, especially if they are barking at a distance. He is social and has proven to do well in crowds. His trainer says, "Butter likes to play fetch, gets excited when playing, is a very friendly pup and does really well with small dogs. He has a gentle nature to his little personality". He has not been tested with children or cats so a proper introduction is in order. He would do best in a home where he is not alone for much of the day.
