Male Dog, Beagle
Beagle / Dachshund / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Valor! Born 12/27/24 this half-beagle cutie is on the hunt to find his furever family! Valor is the biggest little guy of his litter...and has the biggest heart to go with his plump fuzzy butt (typical baby fat). He's happy and confident, leads the charge, loves to play with his siblings and find the action…but he's never too busy to stop for snuggles and kisses! Valor's mom is a small beagle (18 lbs), puppy growth charts estimate his adult size at a perfect 'medium' range of 35-40 lbs right now but are not HIGHLY unreliable due to rapid growth this young and an unknown father. Our best guess based on how the litter is looking right now is that their other half might include some doxie/dachshund (but it is complete guesswork on our part). Please remember pups looks and personalities can change quite a bit as they grow up. They lose their puppy coats and growth estimates are notoriously unreliable when dealing with mixed breeds. Also note that puppies are LOTS of work. They cannot be alone for 8 hours a day, they chew EVERYTHING, they are physically not capable of 'holding' it for long periods until they mature and they're top skill is usually finding trouble no matter how well you think you've puppy-proofed your home. Given Valor's personality we think he'd do well with a social, active family who has the time and patience to work with a puppy. Since Valor is half beagle, he is probably not the best fit for a shared wall. He could be very vocal as an adult. Valor will be ready to go home by mid April. His adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, microchip, all age appropriate vaccines and prevention (flea, tick, heartworm). The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website www.pawsandprayers.org . ***IMPORTANT: Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites DO NOT submit as applications in our database, please complete an appliation on our website. Also, current/previous veterinarians NEED PERMISSION to speak with us ; if we are not able to speak with them, we cannot complete the review of your application.***
