Male Dog, Mastiff

Mastiff

Description:

PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email. If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions - drop us an email at [email protected]. If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our page called "Adoption Info." We answer email inquiries daily. GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs. GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!! Meet Hank! This wonderful gentleman was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. After a month when no owner was found or came forward, he was transferred to GPMR for placement. The Vet is estimating Hank around 5 years old. He's got some gray on his face but he acts younger than that, so it's anyone's guess really. Hank has done great with the dogs he's met and also the kitties. He is an easy going boy and would be a great dog for a first time Mastiff owner. He's just a tad shy meeting new people but warms up so fast and then will give kisses! He's well behaved and never tries to jump up on people. He's fully housetrained and has never had a potty accident. He does have some mild separation anxiety where he will tear things up when home alone. However he's crate trained and so that is an easy solution for him. He does great in the crate and has never tried to get out of it. Unfortunately like many of our dogs, Hank tested positive for heartworms and has completed his treatment. He had a large benign growth removed and has healed up well. Otherwise he's in good health!Hank is being fostered in Centerton, AR.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!
