Terrier / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Eva is a sweet, energetic, and fun-loving shepherd terrier mix. She is around 1-2 years old and under 40 lb. Eva loves people and is dog friendly, but is not a fan of cats. She is sometimes a bit enthusiastic and forward meeting other dogs, so slow intros are recommended for dogs who may not appreciate this style. Eva is crate trained, house broken, and ready to find her forever family! Eva goes to doggie day care and does great there. Eva loves playing with bones and stuffed toys (especially the ones that squeak). She entertains herself by throwing them up in the air and chasing after them on repeat. She is also a master of puzzle toys. When not playing with her treasures, Eva enjoys looking out the window and scoping out the outdoor scene. She is a relatively quiet dog, letting out only the occasional bark. Eva can often be found rolling around showing off her belly and tossing around her stuffies. She has zero spatial awareness though and will most certainly tumble off the couch or bed or wherever she finds herself at the moment. When she gets tired of goofing around, she becomes a lap dog and will curl up next to her person and lay her head (or her whole body) on your lap. When excited, she is very bouncy and likes to show off her dance moves. She can become a little nippy too and is working on correcting this in her foster home. Outdoors, her zoomies are impressive and she takes squirrel patrol very seriously. She is pretty strong on a leash and is working on her walking skills with a harness. She will likely need continued practice in this department with her new family as she blossoms into the best pup she can be. If you’re interested in meeting Eva, email [email protected] today! We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at [email protected]. Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
