Description:
Madison is looking for her forever family! Madison is a 2-3 year old lovely lady who weighs around 50lbs. She is listed as a lab/ shepherd mix but her face shape says collie mix maybe? A few months ago she found herself on the dreaded urgent list; we got her just in time! Affectionately nicknamed Maddie, by her foster family, she is an incredibly loving and sweet girl who is ready to thrive in her forever home. Maddie’s perfect day would involve cuddling up next to her humans to binge watch TV... although no promises she doesn’t snore through the show! Maddie’s favorite food group is cheese... any and all cheese please! This is very helpful for training. Maddie has been through a lot. She and another dog were surrendered by their owner with no explanation. After being in a home with a family and then landing in a crowded and noisy shelter she became a bit nervous. She came to us and work began working on leash walking and being more comfortable outdoors. Unfortunately our girl was being walked in a park and a dog who was not leashed went after her so we went backward a few steps. With patience we think she will find confidence again but for now a home with a fenced yard would make her happiest. Maddie recently learned how fun treat training can be and she is eager to please. Madison is in a foster home with other dogs and is doing well. We think she would be fine with another mellow dog or would be ok being a solo dog too. This girl rides nicely in the car, is potty trained and will go into a crate easily for some yummy snacks. If you are looking for a couch cuddling snuggle bug just in time for these cooler days Madison might be your perfect girl! Email us to apply for Madison and meet her! Email [email protected] to learn more about Maddie and schedule a meet! She deserves for her next stop to be her true forever home.
