Male Dog, Terrier

Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Newt is a cute little boxer bully mix, around 1-2 years old and just under 40 lb. He is everyone's best friend! Newt is great with other dogs and would really adore a playful fur sibling or two in his forever home. He is curious about cats but respects them around the house. He’s also a fan of kids! Not only is he adorable with his endearing underbite, but he has a super sweet personality to match. He’s a really cuddly guy, which is perfect for this cooler weather. Newt loves going on walks in the woods. He gets cold easily but wears a coat with no problem Newt loves going for walks and is learning how to walk nicely on a leash without pulling. He loves toys, especially stuffies with squeakers and bones. He’s a smart cookie, too, and figured out the doggie door in half a day! He hasn't had any accidents in his foster home so we suspect he may be housebroken. He’s great in the crate but would also be happy as a clam to snuggle in bed with his people at night. Newt checks all the boxes and will be a wonderful addition to a lucky family. If you’re interested in meeting Newt to see if he’s a good match, email [email protected] for an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area South Jersey and northern Delaware only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at [email protected]. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
