Female Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Noel, a 1 year old leggy lab mix weighing just 32lbs. She has the most adorable floppy ears, beautiful expressive brown eyes and an all black shiny and soft fur. Her sweet personality shines bright when you meet her as she comes to you for scratches and love. Noel is nervous in new environments but leans on her humans for guidance and her tail really starts wagging when she sees dog friends around! Noel sleeps well overnight and is doing great with house and crate training. She is getting used to going on walks on the leash with some positive encouragement. This petite gal is settling into home-life well after finding herself in an overcrowded and rural shelter. She is enjoying sharing her foster home with her new dog and people friends! She is happiest curled up on the couch with a blanket but also enjoys toys and playing with other dogs. Noel is very silly and is sure to put a smile on your face! She is fascinated by tv and loves to cuddle with whoever sits on the couch making her a great companion on rainy days! We think she will do best with a friendly dog pal in the home to help her grain confidence. She is a smart girl who is eager to learn so she will likely do well in a variety of homes, as long as her new people are patient with her slowly acclimating and coming out of her shell! This cutie is hoping to start 2025 off on the right paw by finding her forever family. If you are interested in sweet Noel email us at [email protected]! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area South Jersey and northern Delaware only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at [email protected]. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
