Meet Elwood, a 5.5-year-old mixed breed male who when healthy weighs 55-60 lbs. Elwood was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Ehrlichia and is currently on daily medication (<15 cents a day). His energy is a bit low right now due to his medical needs, but as his health improves, we expect him to regain his usual spunk. Elwood is a friendly and easy-going boy who gets along well with both dogs and kids. He is house and crate trained, making him a great addition to any home. While his reaction to cats is unknown, his calm demeanor suggests he may do well with proper introductions. Elwood loves car rides and enjoys being your co-pilot on adventures. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to feel his best, Elwood is ready to meet you and join your family! Elwood is neutered, current with vaccines, and fostered in Harrisburg, PA. New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter.
