Male Dog,

Unknown Breed (Short Coat)

Description:

This grandpa has everything that you could ever want in a companion; handsome looks, a sweet & spunky disposition, and endless love to give! Frog's hobbies include fetch, tug, walks, spending time with his people, and a big snooze on the couch when it's all over. He is ready to spend the rest of his golden years being loved on, and has so much warmth and adoration to share in return with a very lucky forever family! Frog had a really wonderful life with his previous owner and his four-legged siblings who he adored, but he only got to have 9 months with them before they sadly passed away. He lived with a dog and several cats in that former home, and he is currently living well with a small dog in foster care, and we think that he could join a home with other calm and respectful furry roommates after slow introductions. All of Frog's previous and current foster parents have described him as a super happy-go-lucky guy that loves spending time both indoors and outdoors, and who is always game to hop in the car (with some encouragement) to tag along for errands and other adventures that he's able to participate in. And even in older age he is a very playful and goofy guy, and while he may not always have a 100% success rate with bringing the ball right back to you like "fetch" might imply, he'll be sure to keep himself and everyone else involved entertained during any and all activities! Frog is mellow and quiet when hanging out at home, and generally a pretty easygoing walker when he isn't getting excited about squirrels that cross his path when he's out and about. He's historically been a great houseguest and very well-behaved wherever he goes, in addition to being completely housebroken, and already knowing "sit" and "down". In addition to being a very affectionate and certified silly boy, Frog is also a sensitive guy at times, and appreciates patience—and he will always show so much appreciation for being able to take things at his own pace! Frog also has a few medical needs that are pretty typical for a dog his age like arthritis, as well as allergies. He would do best in a home where he doesn't have to climb lots of stairs throughout the day or to go outside, and he takes daily medication that helps him continue to hop around happily and comfortably—the only way this type of Frog knows how! He is a very special once in a lifetime senior pup that won't have you questioning why he charms every person that he meets. We could go on and on boasting about how wonderful Frog is, but you'll just have to see and find out for yourself, and apply to adopt him!
