Male Dog, Chihuahua
Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
NAME: Finn BREED: Chihuahua Mix BIRTHDAY: 2014 WEIGHT: 13lbs ADOPTION FEE: $250 Little Finn came to us from a crowded southern shelter. He was very fearful in the noisy kennel and was in danger of being euthanized. We already had a dog lined up on transport so it was easy enough to spring him and get him here where he could be safe, decompress, and get the medical care he needed. (When it comes to Chihuahuas, we always say "What's one more?"!) Finn was not neutered and was heartworm positive, but he is now altered and finished with his HW treatment (he'll need a re-test in a few months), and now he's ready for his forever home! Finn is a shy guy who just needs a little time to warm up- then he's a goofy and sweet boy who loves attention and affection! He even uses his paw to make sure you're petting him at just the right spot. Finn is fabulous with dogs and cats and is safe around new people since he just avoids them. He's a really easy pup to care for- he's not very needy, he eats well, and he's been getting better with house/pad training. It's obvious he's never had any leash work, so a fenced yard will be very helpful in helping him with his transition and training. Other than that he just needs time, patience, and a committed and understanding adopter to help him live the good life he's been missing out on!
