Male Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever (Short Coat)

Description:

Bentley was with the same family for 8 years and had 2 small dogs as daily companions. He was surrendered to Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue when the owner's daughter exhibitied worsening allergy symptoms. Bentley is a very loyal dog and loves to cuddle up on the couch with his human friends. He is gentle, and loves to be affectionate. He has displayed some mild separation anxiety in his foster home when left alone for longer than 2-3 hours. This is understandable as he lost the only family he had ever known as well as his two furry buddies who kept him company during the day. Even though he is 8 years old, you'd never know. He still gets excited to play with his stuffies and squeaky ball, and apart from some achy joints he's a healthy boy! He enjoys his walks and loves meeting new people, and likes being around other dogs. He is a sweet and gentle boy who is looking for a family to spoil and love on him during his Golden Years. He would do better in a home where someone is home more often than not and/or has a resident dog that can keep him company when his people are out. If you think that could be with you, check out Bentley's blog to learn more about him: https://brooklinelabrescue.org/blog/bentley-6-yellow-labrador-retriever-male-8-years-old-id3291/ Also check out our silver muzzle match program: https://brooklinelabrescue.org/adopt/silver-muzzle-match-program/ PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue.
