Description:
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE Age: 2 years (as of 9/12/2024) Weight: 13 lbs (as of 9/9/2024) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Cali, the small-but-mighty scruffy terrier mix who's equal parts adorable and mischievous! She is a mix of sugar and spice, with a bit more spice! Rescued from the shelter, Cali is now on the lookout for her forever home—but beware, she’s not your average lap dog! This pint-sized diva has some spunk! As of right now, she would do best as an only pet. She likes to go on walks but would prefer low traffic areas as she does bark at other dogs on leash so a home with a fenced yard may be the best fit for her to ensure she is able to get her energy out. She would love nothing more than a fenced in yard where she can run zoomies to her hearts content! Even though she is energetic she is also happy to crash on the couch and snuggle. She does not love going into her crate but will settle after some time. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. Cali's got a heart of gold wrapped in some seriously scruffy charm. She’s spunky, loyal, and ready to make your life more interesting. Could you be the one to spoil her rotten, adopt Cali today—she’s waiting to be the star of your home! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not by breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
