The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters.Stewart - Foster or Adopter Needed! -——- Stuck in boarding! ——— Sweet 4 y/o boxer mix Stewart has been dealt a rough hand recently. He found himself in a NC kill shelter through no fault of his own and while there, he was attacked and almost killed by a husky who escaped his run which wasn’t latched properly. He was sent to the vet for recovery and has been stuck in boarding ever since, wondering when - or if - he’ll ever have a forever home and family to call his own. At the shelter, he tested well with other social/playful dogs but we can’t say for certain how he will be with other pups in a home environment, and we do not know how he is around cats. But we do know this is a sweet, funny, playful guy patiently waiting for someone to come along and open their heart and home to him. If that's you, please contact Michaela on 203 859 2153 ASAP. NOTE: Stewart is currently located in boarding in the Charlotte NC area where he was saved. Ground transport is available for an approved foster or adopter located in the northeast. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel.
