The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters.Meet Tilly TILLY IS a BEAUTIFUL BLACK female shepherd, approx 2 yrs and on the smaller side, around 55 lbs. Aside from being strikingly gorgeous Tilly is dog, cat and human friendly!!! And like all GSDS SMART!! Tilly must go to a home with an owner who is experienced with GSDs and able to train. Here comes the BUT…. Tilly does have a special need. Tilly is deaf. It DOES NOT SLOW HER her down. Tilly is perfect and as we all know adopters trump rescue - Tilly needs a rescue before she ends up right back at the shelter again or worse! Note: Some pups are in boarding facilities in order to save their lives. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel.
