Male Dog, German Shepherd Dog
German Shepherd Dog (Short Coat)
Description:
Ace is a wonderful young boy around 12 months old, he was neutered on 12/7/2024 when he turned a year old. He is up to date on all vaccinations including Rabies given 12/7/2024 with tag number 3219 given in South Carolina. He also had a yearly vaccination booster here at New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue on 12/ 21/2024, please see attached labels from the vials attached to the back of this sheet. We have also microchipped our sweet boy here at New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue, to make sure that he will always find his way home…see the attached stickers. The microchip, number 900263000259187, is located between his shoulder blades, but sometimes as time goes by they can migrate and we sometimes must scan the entire body to find them, but we always do, LOL. Ace is a happy boy who is inquisitive and outgoing and very bright. He is a typical German Shepherd who needs to be intellectually stimulated and given lots of exercise to keep him happy and healthy. He is a bit aloof and if even a little apprehensive when first meeting new people, but that doesn’t last very long, just go slow and give him time to get to know the people and he will be just fine. Please give him a chance to show you the dog that we know him to be and the time to settle in before introducing him to too many new people and things all at one time, he won’t have the confidence that he is “home” yet. Male German Shepherds go through a period of time between 12 and around 18 months when they can be a bit “spooky”, only meaning that things will “spook” them until they know what it is. They come out of it at about 18 months or so and then are mostly unshakable. We have done our best to expose Ace as much as possible, but he will be in an entirely new place with new people and will need time to adjust, the same way that he needed time to adjust to all of us. He is currently eating twice a day, morning around 6 am and in the evening around 5pm, but we suggest that you switch over to your favorite brand slowly with the food that we are providing today for him in your adoption bag. To sum it up, I’m sure that you can see that we love Ace very much and want what is best for him. Please feel free to email me anytime you need anything, we are here to help for the life of your dog. Welcome to the NBSR family. If you are interested in adopting Ace and giving him a wonderful and forever home, we invite you to visit our website at www.newbeginningsrescue.com to fill out our online adoption application and we will get right back to you. We are holding adoptions this week and weekend and look forward to helping you find the right match for you and your family. New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue is a volunteer based rescue, we work very hard to help as many adoptable GSDs as possible. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters across the country, so sadly we do not have any background information on them.....but we work very hard to get to know each and every dog brought into our program in need of a new beginning in their lives. We do not take animals with aggression problems (some may not like other dogs, cats, or may require older kids as opposed to younger children, but we will let you know everything that we know) most of these beautiful dogs have been faithful and loving family pets for their entire lives, yet still have lost their homes and families through no fault of their own. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs please fill out our adoption application at https://www.newbeginningsrescue.com/adoption-application and we will get back in touch after we get it processed. If you don't hear from us in 3 days, please send us a gentle reminder and one of us will get right on it. Please indicate the dog you are interested in meeting, where it says preference on the application! You may also email [email protected] , we are always happy to answer any questions you may have. If you give them your heart, they will give you theirs.
