Male Dog, Rat Terrier

Rat Terrier

Description:

Fella/Bones, Male 3-4 y/o, 18 poundsFella (Goodfellow Jones) is looking for a loving home that can provide the attention and affection he needs to completely forget his past. After his owner passed away, he was dumped and was a stray before being hit by a car and being rescued by RRTN. He is still recovering from surgery to fix his broken hip but is doing very well and is able to walk, run, play and use stairs. He does extremely well with other dogs and has been friendly with everyone he has met since coming home with me.He is housebroken and loves to lay outside in the sun. A fenced back yard would definitely suit him best. He does well in his crate when left alone but prefers to sleep in the bed with his family. He would be a fantastic fit for someone who is home often or can take him along on their adventures (he can get car sick on long drives if he can’t see out the windows). If you're looking for a loyal, smart and affection companion who will always be by your side, Fella is the perfect fitWe were tagged on a post about a dog that had been hit by a car. Taken to a vet it was thought he would need his leg amputated. If no rescue stepped up then he would be euthanized when his stray hold period was up We knew that one of our wonderful vet would save his leg of at all possible. Long story short he still has his leg and should recover with no effects. Bones was his origional name but now he has a new better name Rusty. Rusty will be someones dog of a lifetime. Don't let this guy slip away from your and your familyAvailable dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
