Description:
Week 2 fostering Valentine and Cupid. I was told they are both 6 months old, but Valentine seems older in demeaner and size.Potty Training: They both do really well in the house as long as I let them out every couple of hours. Because I'm not sure how they'll do for long hours alone, I crate them when I leave.Crate Training: With gentle coaxing (aka a treat), they walk right into their crates and don't make a peep. They are such good boys!Cupid is more of a chewer than Valentine. Nothing is off limits, especially shoes. Chewing is another reason I crate them when I leave. Most of the time they respond well to "No." I've been impressed at how well behaved they are for 6+ months old.Cupid is the more timid of the two. He really relies on Valentine to lead the way. Cupid is jumpy when it comes to loud noises. He is also stand offish around men. Once he warms up, he is more receptive. Especially when offered a treat.Valentine is very confident and a huge snuggle bug. They both let you know they are near with a gentle boop with their noses. They are both really curious. It's adorable seeing their reactions to new things.I can see why they are a bonded pair. They play so well together and love to snuggle. At the same time, I can see them on their own. Valentine is more dominant and loves ALL the attention. He likes to be top dog and tends to overshadow Cupid. Especially with food and treats. I can see them both thriving in single dog households for different reasons. If someone adopts them together, I would suggest having one on one time with each of them.Overall, they are wonderful dogs! I can see them doing well with a young family or active adults.Cupid Male, 6 months old, 20-25 pounds, very sweet, good with everyone and other dogs.
