Description:
LOCATION: Round Rock, TXDOB: 04/27/2023Meet Penny, formerly known as Pennywise, who was saved from pre-lab euthanasia at the last moment. An absolute dream of a dog, Penny is now looking for a new foster, a foster-to-adopt home, or an adopter. Currently in a very temporary foster home, this young pup has her vaccines, a negative heartworm test, and has been spayed. Though listed as 2 years old by the shelter, we believe she’s closer to 1. Penny is a beautiful Catahoula/Dane mix, boasting a dark merle coat and heterochromia eyes that shine with a unique twinkle.Penny is completely potty trained with no accidents in the house. She loves her crate and sleeps through the night without a peep. Not once has she barked, even when other dogs are barking around her. Penny adores stuffed animals—though she may occasionally mistake a child’s toy for her own, but she’ll give it up without any issues. She’s learning about toys, has no food resource guarding issues, and can comfortably eat next to kids without bothering them. Penny doesn’t chew on anything other than her toys and gets along well with the three male pups she’s currently living with. She adores children as young as three years old.Penny does have a tiny behavior issue: she low growls when cuddling on the couch with her temporary mom if other dogs approach, a common trait in shelter dogs adjusting to the good life. We’re committed to helping her new home resolve this with training. As for leash walking, Penny tends to pull but is making progress. Her temporary foster family loves her dearly but has other fosters to care for. They have assured that if Penny doesn’t work out in a new home, they will take her back immediately. However, we believe that once you meet Penny, you won’t want to let her go. Ready to give Penny the loving home she deserves? Please consider fostering or adopting this sweet, gentle girl. All of our Great Danes are altered, if medically possible, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention or treatment prior to being adopted. Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog, you're saving a life when you adopt.========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .For more information, please email us at [email protected].
