LOCATION: Dayton, OHDOB:05/03/2023 Vargas is a Class A Velcro Dane who LOVES his people more than anything else—well, maybe except for cookies! This handsome boy has made great strides in his journey, forming a special bond with Journey, but he has struggled to make friends with the rest of our pack. Because of this, we feel it would be irresponsible to adopt him ourselves, but we know he will thrive in the right home.Vargas has endured a lot in his past, including a traumatic attack, but he has shown incredible resilience. At the vet, he bravely endured treatment, even allowing a staple to be placed on his worst wound without any sedative. He truly is a hero!Vargas is crate and potty trained, though he has zero leash manners (we’re working on it!). He occasionally chews on blankets but isn’t very interested in toys. He can be petted while eating, though he may grumble if other dogs get too close, so he is fed in his crate. Vargas loves to zoom around outside but will cling to you if you stay out with him. His scars have healed beautifully, except for a deep one on his leg, and his left eye sometimes gets crusty and irritated, which we manage with Neopolybac and Benadryl.We LOVE this boy so much and know he will leave a lasting mark on any family lucky enough to adopt him. Vargas is ready to find a forever home where he can be the center of attention and receive all the love he deserves.All of our Great Danes are altered, if medically possible, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention or treatment prior to being adopted.
