Female Dog,

Unknown Breed

Description:

Age: 2 years Age: 2 years Weight: 32 lbs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Yes Activity level: Medium Shedding: Low Vocal level: Medium Training: Crate, Doggy Door, Mostly Potty Trained Meet Maddy! She is a petite little girl with a shepherd face and the cutest pointy ears and underbite. Maddy had her back right leg amputated and is happier and faster than ever! She was born with a deformed leg that our vet determined was causing her pain and made it harder for her to get around. Maddy is timid around new people, but with a little time (and plenty of treats!) she warms up and understands you are safe to be around. She adapts to adults faster than children and will probably do better in a home with no kids or older, patient kids. Maddy does great with other dogs and loves to play with her foster siblings! She also likes to spend time hanging out in the backyard or napping on the couch. Maddy joined the Duck Team 6 family in desperate need of help. She came to us very underweight and limping around on her deformed back leg. She had been surrendered to us by a Good Samaritan who had found her as a stray and done their best to care for her. They were unable to locate an owner and did not have the means to care for her long-term.
