Female Dog, Great Pyrenees
Great Pyrenees (Long Coat)
Description:
Meet Angel! Born around June 2023, she is short and stocky at 55 pounds. She may grow a little more, but she is definitely in the “Pocket Pyr” category. Once she gets to know you, Angel is sweet and affectionate. She will sit in your lap or lay next to you for belly rubs and attention. Her beautiful coat length is long thick, so she has lots of fluff for snuggling with you and bouncing off her fur buddies when they run and play. She is more fun than a barrel of sea monkeys! She loves having fun and games with other dogs. She lives happily in her foster home with 5 other big dogs. She generally does well with new dogs when introduced properly. Angel had a fractured femur that healed incorrectly before we met her, but she still runs and plays with the best of them. She will do best in a home with a backyard and other dogs to keep her occupied and happy. She may not be the best with kids, because she prefers slow, calm introductions to new people. She loves going outside for walks and does well on a leash. She is house trained and crate trained, but becomes restless in the crate when crated for extended periods of time. She does great riding in the car. She just needs a little help getting in and out because she struggles with jumping. She likes to bark if she thinks there are strangers around the home. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
