Male Dog, Great Pyrenees

Great Pyrenees (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Gibbs! This sweet, gentle puppy was born around March 2024. At 6 months old, he was already a big boy weighing 62 pounds with the potential to grow to over 100 pounds as an adult! Baby Gibbs is a purebred Great Pyrenees with a gorgeous all-white fluffy coat and beautiful brown eyes. He has a medium-length coat and needs his forever people to understand his ongoing grooming needs. Gibbs enjoys being around people. While he’s not yet a total snuggle bug, he will come to you for attention and enjoys being petted. Like many puppies, he may take a little time to fully trust and settle into a new environment, and with patience and love, he’ll continue to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. Gibbs is curious and playful, especially with other dogs, and will thrive in a home where he can continue to grow and feel safe. He’s great with dogs and must have a home where he has a canine companion that will play with him and match his playful energy. Gibbs loves playing with toys and adores frozen blueberries and ice cubes as treats. He’s curious about the world but prefers to be indoors, especially at night. He hasn’t been tested with kids or cats yet, but he’d likely thrive in a home with a young family or active adults. He’s already house-trained and learned quickly! He doesn’t need a crate and prefers to sleep near his human’s bed or on the bathroom floor. Gibbs would do best in a house with a yard where he can run around and play. He’s not suited for apartment living. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and goofy puppy to join your family, Gibbs is ready to bring joy and cuddles into your life! OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. 2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy. 3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly. 4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0 SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
