Male Dog, Great Pyrenees
Great Pyrenees (Short Coat)
Description:
Meet Kota! Born on April 22, 2024, this affectionate boy weighed almost 60 pounds at under 5 months old. He is going to be a big boy – perhaps 110 pounds! Kota loves people and wants to be in the same room as his humans. He is good with children. He is a wonderful combination of playful and chill. He enjoys relaxing as much as he loves playing. He gets along with other dogs of all sizes. He must have a large playful doggy companion in his forever home. We think he will fine with cats if given proper introductions, because he is very gentle with the little dogs in his foster home. Kota loves dinner time, toys, treats, and lots of tummy rubs. Want to teach him a new trick? With a few practices enticed with a treat, voila, new trick taught! Kota is incredibly smart and is already house broken, leash trained, crate trained, and has learned several tricks including sit, shake, down, stay. He only chews on his toys and treats, so no worries about chewed-up shoes. He likes dipping his toes into a creek or lake, but hasn’t tried swimming. He isn’t much of a barker, only vocalizing when he hears another dog bark in neighborhood. He stops barking when asked. He is very goofy sometimes, especially since he’s growing so fast and gets a bit clumsy. Soon enough he will grow into his big boy paws and become statuesque. Amazing Kota will be a most handsome loyal companion for years to come. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. 2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy. 3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly. 4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0 SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
