Female Dog, Great Pyrenees
Great Pyrenees (Medium Coat)
Description:
Rosemary, or Rosie as her foster calls her, was pulled in a severely emaciated state from a local animal shelter. She weighed 43 pounds and had to be carried into the emergency vet. After treatment and a blood transfusion, she was released to her foster home. Now, she weighs a very healthy 75 pounds and has a huge amount of energy. Estimated at four years old, Rosie has the energy of a puppy and loves to play. Unlike other Pyrs, Rosie loves to give kisses, and like other Pyrs, she wields a strong Pyr paw! She gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves to play with them all. Because she was so starved, she eats separately from the other dogs and has to be confined, much to her displeasure, until the other dogs have finished eating. Rosie walks well on a leash, and does well on car rides. She has a little trouble loading up, but then settles down for the ride. She has not been crate trained, and she suffers from FOMO (fear of missing out). She sometimes forgets her house training, but she’s working on it. If you are looking for an energetic dog that will love you enthusiastically and keep you entertained, Rosemary just might be the dog for you! SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
