~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later. Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Super sweet little girl looking for love. Would make a great lap dog. When Saucy first arrived, she was overwhelmed by fear and pain, snapping at the vet techs who tried to help her. It was clear that she had endured significant suffering. During her spay surgery, we discovered a tumor encasing her uterus, along with a deceased fetus, indicating she had been in distress for an unknown period. Thankfully, Saucy has made tremendous progress since that surgery. She has had a follow-up exam and she’s ready to go. Saucy is no longer the frightened, defensive dog we first met; she has blossomed into a sweet and loving companion. While she remains a bit skittish, her progress is nothing short of fantastic. She is still learning to be a normal dog and will do best with a patient family that can give her the attention and love she deserves. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes, she’s afraid of the storms and her go to protector is the 65 lb foster sis. She’s fine with cats and loves chirpy cat toys.
