Description:
We absolutely cannot believe Patch is still with us. He is a great dog! He simply needs exercise, rules and structure, just like most any dog! Patch came to us from Pasadena Animal Control when they were euthanizing a bunch at the beginning of the COVID outbreak. He was picked up as a stray and had an electrical cord tied around his neck. He has gotten close to having a real forever home twice since being with us. Sadly, one home developed severe allergies, and the other had too many complications arise as a result of COVID and the toll it took on the family. Patch is now about 6-7 years old, a shepherd/husky mix. He is incredibly friendly with an awesome smile but needs his exercise, a really nice hour walk or some serious yard playing will do just fine. He is not hyper but active. After exercise he is quite content to just hang out. Patch can be friends with some dogs but is a bit selective. He prefers dogs with rules and manners and does not have much tolerance for others. He definitely likes the girls better than the boys and absolutely cannot stand a dominant or bully. Because of his clear need for the human to help direct him, we don’t think Patch would be good in a home without little kiddos, experienced older kids might be a good option. If you think you can provide an active, structured, fun-loving home for our fabulous boy Patch, please complete our application. He will make an awesome best friend!
