Description:
***DFW area only-No Exceptions*** Maizie is a ~3 month old puppy (as of 11/9/24) who arrived at LHS as a three week old baby after being handed to a woman by a stranger at a local Walmart. After the shock wore off, the woman who was given the puppy took her to the shelter for help. Maizie is a sweet girl who likes to play and nap. She loves to be petted, especially belly rubs, and is very affectionate. She likes to give gentle kisses to show her love. Maizie is a sun bather and is loving this fall weather combined with warm sunshine! Maizie is gentle and sweet tempered with a goofy puppy side too. She enjoys playing with her foster sisters in the yard and inside. We believe she would do well with other doggie friends or alone as she is equally comfortable alone as with the other dogs in the home. She loves a good, fuzzy, comfy bed, crinkle toys and chew toys! She’s doing so well with potty training that she is now going to the door to request to go out. She does well with the cats in her foster home but occasionally forgets her manners and wants to play a little chase. She takes correction from the cats well. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Current weight 25 lbs Projected weight 60+ Crate training: crate trained We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes her spay, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative. We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
