Hi! My name is Duchess. I am a 1 year old Pit/Lab mix female that weighs about 54 Lbs. My previous family had to travel out of the country to help with a sick family member and unfortunately, ended up having to stay a lot longer than originally planned. Sadly, they felt it best to surrender me to the shelter where I can hopefully find a new family. I am a sweet but shy girl. Especially in new situations and surroundings. Even though I am shy I do warm up and enjoy getting pets and affection. I am not suggested with younger children as they tend to make me anxious but older kids are fine. If you have another dog in the home, I would love to meet them prior to adoption to ensure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
