Male Dog, Chihuahua
Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed
Description:
Meet Jax! He is an approximately 6 year old, male, Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. He was surrendered on 12/18/2024 because his owners could no longer care for him. jax was adopted from RAC at the age of 6 months old as a gift for the children. The children have since grown up and unfortunately, Max was no longer receiving the attention he needs. He went from being an indoor pet to a backyard pet. Jax is such a sweet and loving guy that would love to find a soft place to land and a second chance at a true FURever home! Due to growing up on a poor diet, Jax has undergone dental surgery to have majority of his teeth removed. He is currently recovering and will need to be on a soft food diet from here forward. He is a BIG fan of Fresh Pet and his refined pallet enjoys the chicken recipe. According to his previous owners, he has done well with children of all ages. Jax loves cuddly beds, and warm blankets are his number one favorite thing. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommend making sure they are a good match! Jax is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters. Max is also heartworm negative! Meet and greets will be by approved application so make sure to visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet! Jax's adoption fee is $125. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email [email protected]. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
