Hi! I'm Maddie! I'm an approximately 5 year old, female, Pit/Lab mix. I was surrendered on 08/17/2024 because I was not getting along with the kids in the home. I was born with cataracts on my eyes that makes it hard for me to see. I can still see but due to my eyesight I am not suggested with children under the age of 16. I prefer a calmer household with older kids and adults that can understand they need to approach me slowly, so my eyes have a chance to adjust. I am a very sweet girl who just needs the right family! I do well with other dogs but a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. According to my previous owner, I am house trained/crate trained and walk well on a leash. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heart worm test negative. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
