Meet Miss Josey Joe! Josey is a 2 year old, female, Shepherd/Akita mix that weighs 57 lbs. She was originally found off of Windjammer Lane at the Harbor in Rockwall and taken to the local animal shelter. Miss Josey is a smart active girl that is looking for a FURever home of her own. She does great with other dogs and does absolutely fantastic with cats. She is housebroken and crate trained. Josey has moved into foster care, but she really needs a forever home to call her own! Josey definitely will do best in a home with other dogs as that is who she is the most comfortable with. She would do ok in a home with kids 6+ years of age due to her shy nature. Her adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, rabies vaccination, and basic boosters and she is heartworm negative! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
