Meet Winter! She is an approximately 2 year old, female, Red and White, Lab/Border Collie mix who weighs about 52 lbs. She was surrendered on 08/26/2024 because her owner could not care for her. According to her previous owner, she is sweet and loving and is good with other dogs and kids. She will need training when it comes to commands and house training but she is a very smart girl and will pick up on training quickly. Winter is fun and playful and loves to play fetch! Hope you like taking pictures, because Winter is anything but camera shy! Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. Winter is heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is covered at little to no cost to her adopter. Feel free to ask staff if you have any questions about heartworms or heartworm treatment. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
