Firefly was named for her beautiful ears. They’re so big that when she has them up it almost seems like she could fly away on them! If you can believe it she’s even more adorable with them on display – but she wants to save that for when you come in and visit her in person. Firefly is the sweetest, gentlest soul. She’s shy, but really takes comfort in getting lots of pets and cuddles. She just loves love! We’re sure her confidence would grow if she had a family and a home to call her own. It’s no surprise Firefly is a bit timid. This poor girl has been through a lot! She was found tied to a bench in front of the Medic 606 Fire Station. She had a collar on, but no owner information on her. It seemed like she’d probably been abandoned. We know someone out there is going to luck out with this love bug. She’s very calm and gentle, and has a lower energy level. It only takes her a pet or two to shed her shy exterior – then she’ll walk right up to you and ask for more love. She doesn’t see much need for personal space if you don’t! Firefly loves her treats, but is always careful to take them nicely from your hand. She’ll happily sit on command too!
