She and her sister, Opal, lost their home due to the owners health. Hope is a loving dog that just needs a little patience at the beginning because she is shy to new people and things. Once she is comfortable, she is super sweet and is perfect for anyone looking for a lap dog that loves attention. She loves to eat and cuddle on the couch. She doesn’t really care about toys and she does not need another dog for a playmate. She is the perfect dog for a single dog home. She is good about using the puppy pad and if she had it her way she would never go outside. Hope would prefer a quieter home where she can be lazy and cuddle often. The foster has just learned during the holiday break, that Hope is a door darter. She will need someone that understands that and will be very cautious to keep her safe. Love dachshunds and not ready to adopt or circumstances won't permit having a dog? How about being a sponsor or making a donation. Every one of our dachshunds receives excellent medical care along with day to day food, love and housing.
