Description:
My name is Arlo. I’m intelligent, funny, charming, lovable, extremely energetic, and so handsome. I need lots of attention and a job to do. I hate being left alone for long periods. And I must have lots of cuddle time. I enjoy doing fun activities and learning. True to my breed, I also like to herd my sisters. I’m the perfect cuddle buddy, and I like to watch TV with my human. I really like shows with animals, especially other dogs. I can jump almost 6 feet into the air, so I need a minimum 6 ft fence when I play outdoors. I like most adults. But small kids make me very uncomfortable. I move hard and fast, and don’t realize my own strength. I like other dogs, but I can be protective of my food and toys. I prefer to be around female dogs. And I don’t like dominant, pushy dogs. I would be an awesome therapy dog, or something cool like that. I can run fast and jump high, so I would also be awesome at agility. I need a parent who can recognize and appreciate my amazing abilities, and will continue to bring out the best in me. Is that you? ========================================================= Please contact [email protected] for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application . Puppies that are under 4 months old cannot be adopted outside of our Veterinary Service area. Please call for specific locations. Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
