Female Dog, Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Ava was found in a Northpointe neighborhood. Signs were put up in the area and she was posted on neighborhood sites. Sadly, no one claimed this pretty girl. Emmy’s Hope Rescue began sponsoring Ava in July 2020. Ava is a very sweet, happy-go-lucky, even-tempered and affectionate big girl. She is very curious and has a high energy level. She loves to run and play fetch with balls, ropes and frisbees. When she is not fetching, then she likes to carry something around in her mouth. She loves to be petted, shake hands and give hugs. Ava needs a big yard to run around in and a loving, active family that’s experienced with big dogs. Estimated birth date: February 2019 Approximate weight: 70 lbs. If you would like to meet Ava, please call or text Stephanie at: 281-622-6549. *** ADOPTION CRITERIA *** To qualify to adopt from Emmy's Hope Rescue, YOU MUST HAVE ALL 4 QUALIFIERS: 1. Live in the Houston area (no more than an hour's drive away). 2. Be 21 years or older. 3. Have a fenced yard. Fencing must touch the ground all the way around the yard. 4. We are looking for experienced pet owners. You must have at least 3 years of good vet history, with your current and / or past dogs. Your vet record should show that you take your dog(s) to the vet annually for an exam and to update their Rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo) vaccinations and heartworm testing, and that you purchase a monthly heartworm preventative.
