Female Dog, Chihuahua

Chihuahua / Mixed

Description:

Lacy is a 12-year 9.3 pound eloquent and majestic long leg beauty Chihuahua mix, all white with a little tan on her ears. Lacy came to be a CAWS dog after she was abandoned in a shelter, so sad at this time of her life but she is safe now for the rest of her days. These majestic long legs make her weeble and wobble a bit or better known as ataxic in the rear limbs (an awkward gait, uncoordinated walking pattern that is characterized by an irregular foot placement and a wide base, which may have a tendency to fall). But it is this walk that makes her unique and precious, it is more of a dainty and expressive pace. She also has some back pain, just a frail little old lady but such a magnificent little old gal, unique as can be. She is totally house and crate trained, if you don’t get her out she looks at you and gives a whine to let you know it is time to be let out. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home, male and female, big and small. She is a little on the slender side so we are trying to put a pound or two on her. Lacy had a dental with 18 teeth extracted. The anesthesia was really hard on our little lady but she put on her big girl panties and astoundingly pulled through this ordeal like an awesome trooper! She had a couple wart type things between her eyes removed while she was under too. She does a loud yelp when she needs your attention or to let you know she must get back in the house. For this loud yelp Lacy has to go to a house with a yard and 2-legged people who work from home or can take her to work with them or retired so she is not alone. She does okay in a crate but we do not want her to live in a crate now at this time of her life. She does like to cuddle on the couch and sleep with her 2-legged people, but she is okay with a bed on the floor too some of the time. She gives the softest, gentlest kisses, so dang sweet. Due to her age she should go to a family with no kids or older. If you can give this superb little lady a safe and secure home with unconditional love for the rest of whatever time she may have left, please fill out an application for a meet and greet. Lacy could most surely have many many years ahead of her, and we believe with all our heart she has a very precious long life ahead of her, she oozes pure sweetness and joy. Lacy should have never ended up in a shelter but she crossed our path and so now will find her furever lasting home that she is so deserving of. She takes your breath away.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100.
