Sunshine (12 yo) came to K Kids with her older sister Vanessa a few months ago when their momma couldn't take care of them anymore. Unfortunately we lost Vanessa to some serious health issues recently. Sunshine is a barky sassy dachshund girl. She loves to tell the other dogs in her foster home who the boss is (hint: it's her!) She had a recent dentals and had some major extractions, but that doesn't stop her from thinking she can take on the world, haha. She l oves adventuring in her foster's yard and going for walks. She also love laps and attention. She is very loyal and loving and chill, reliability housebroken and crate trained. Sunshine really likes food and we have to be really careful with her weight. Sunshine has had 2 IVDD episodes since she's been with us. Both times have been in her neck and both have been painful and have impacted her ability to walk for a period of time. With some meds and rest, she recovered. We can’t guarantee that won’t happen again, but she shouldn’t do a lot of stairs, jumping, etc. That should help prevent reoccurrences.
