Description:
Hulk’s humans are having to move and they can’t take Hulk with them. Here is some info about Hulk from his family: “Hulk is an absolutely amazing dog, he is loving and sweet and will never leave your side if he doesn't have to. He does great with kids and other dogs. He is a little shy and barks when meeting new adults but quickly warms up and is all about the love. Hulk has never been to a groomer before. We wash him at home and we file his nails (we have never cut his nails, he is scared of that). He is great with children, he does not have a problem with food at all (with people or dogs), our daughter feeds him his food (she's 1.5) and will even stick her hands in his bowl to grab some and feed it to him. He is really amazing with children, his ears, his mouth, tail, feet, really his whole body is played with by our daughter and he is perfectly fine. He is great with the other dogs that he has been around (we do not know about cats). He is potty trained, he is not crate trained. He needs some help with leash training, when we walk him we use a harness because he pulls so much that he will choke himself with just a collar on. Hulk really is an amazing dog, and he is the biggest cuddler ever." Update from current foster home: Hulk is in a foster home with 3 young children and he is the sweetest dog! He likes to sleep in bed with the kids. He would love to be snuggling with someone on the couch all day but we try to keep him off the couch. He knows basic commands and listens very well. He pulls a little bit on the leash at the beginning of a walk but a few minutes in and he stays right by your side. He also has a female dog at his foster home who he gets along with great and even shares a bed with at times. He does not jump on people or on tables. He is very well mannered. When he first arrived he was scared of a lot of noises but now he has gotten used to our chaos and is a happy snuggly pup! I can’t say enough good things about him….he is so gentle and would be the perfect dog for a family. *Hulk's adoption fee is $175. Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
