Female Dog, Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retriever / Rottweiler / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Moxie (F) is somewhere between 1-2 years old and is just the most easy going, easy to live with dog. She is full grown at 44lbs and is, we believe, a hound mix. She doesn't take things that don't belong to her, she doesn't chew on your furniture, and she is a star at letting you know when she needs to go out. She doesn't get on the furniture unless you invite her and doesn't jump all over your friends when they come to visit. She doesn't know a whole lot of commands yet, but that's ok because she seems to intuitively know what it takes to be a good dog. Also, she is super eager to please and food motivated, so teaching her should be a breeze. She likes to be petted and loves a good belly rub, especially first thing in the morning, but she's not needy. All she asks is that she be where you are. Need to work from home? Can she lay under your desk? Wanna watch TV? That's great, too. Just let her know if she can lay on the couch beside you or if you'd prefer she lay on the dogbed at your feet. She sleeps in a crate at night and it seems to really help her settle. She has not been allowed on the bed in her foster family, as the house dog needs to be the only one there, but she might make a good sleeping buddy if you asked nicely. She would prefer a fenced yard because she's not a huge fan of walks, but for you, she might learn. She gets a bout of the zoomines in the morning and would be happy to play fetch for 6-8 throws in the afternoon, but mostly, she just wants to chill and hang out with you.
