Meet Luca! Luca came to The Furever Project as a stray, from a local shelter. Sadly, he was emaciated and it appeared that he may have lived outdoors for quite some time. This boy definitely didn’t experience a loving home, as all dogs should have! He has since been doing wonderfully in his foster home, learning how to be a “dog” inside the home! He currently lives with other pups and has gotten along well with all of them. He has also been around kids of all ages and has done well so far! Luca is slowly gaining weight and settling into a routine. What we have learned about Luca so far! He is very sweet and just wants affection from anyone and everyone! He does love to go for his daily walk but also is very content being a couch potato! He is extremely treat motivated and is learning basic commands. He is fully crate trained and has only had one accident when he first came to his foster home. He is amazing on a leash - no pulling, barely stops at all to smell, and stays right by my side (I have been using a hands free leash, so I can also push a stroller and it has been great!) One of his favorite things to do right now is go for a car ride and then go on a long walk on one of the many local trails we have in our area! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful and affectionate pup, then Luca may be the pup for you! More than anything, all he seems to want is to be loved and in a safe and happy home!
