Peaches' life story starts off with a rough chapter, living in a backyard breeding situation. While in that situation, she was attacked by another dog and her injuries were left untreated. This resulted in the unique scaring on her lip that adds (we think) to her endearing charm. Peaches is now retired from motherhood (her last litter was 9/18/2024). Not long after coming to the TFP, she had eight beautiful babies. She was a wonderful, devoted mother. All of Peaches’ babies were adopted; now it's Peaches' turn. Peaches is ready to be someone's precious, loved baby. Peaches wants a chance to show you she's the "bestest" girl. After all that life has thrown at Peaches, she remains a resilient sweetheart with a gentle soul. She is incredibly sweet and in her foster home, she has even learned to trust and play with other dogs (slow introductions are always recommended). Peaches is wonderful with kids and is very gentle with them. She is especially gentle with her tiny 3-year-old human foster sibling. Peaches loves that “her” tiny human calls her mama and gives her lots of treats, which she takes very gently. After leaving her junkyard dog past behind, Peaches is still learning the joys of indoor life and will be most successful in a home where she won’t be alone for long stretches. She’s making great strides in potty training and basic commands. Her “come” and “leave it” are already impressive. If you are willing to give Peaches a chance, she will repay you with endless love, loyalty and affection. Please consider meeting her and giving her a chance. Once you meet her you will understand all the wonderful things about her.
