Male Dog,
Unknown Breed (Short Coat)
Description:
**If you have any questions about DIOR after reading his profile, you can contact a volunteer at 757-373-2458 who can answer your questions.** DIOR! We all have favorite dogs and DIOR is mine. I love this boy and we spend lots of time together. He’s experiencing high stress (the shelter environment does that) but he is a very SWEET & LOVABLE boy who just wants to be with you. He’s AFFECTIONATE and loves his people. He’ll lean into you and snuggle himself between your legs. (Fun observation – his love language seems to be quality time together & snuggles!) He loves walking in nature and observing. He walks on a long leash so he can sniff and explore. And while walking, he often checks in with me and sneaks in some snuggle time. And because he is such a GOOD-LOOKING pup (shiny black coat with white spots), people always stop and comment on him. DIOR is teaching me to slow down and smell the roses (literally!). He’s great in the car and if you stop by McD’s for a vanilla ice cream – BONUS! His needs are simple – a quiet place to rest his head and decompress. He should be the only pet (although he has lived with cats before) and would prefer no young children. He’s good with people but not a fan of other dogs. Dior seems to know basic commands, loves his treats and responds to training. Overall, he is said to be potty trained. Dior has been at the shelter since October 2023! That's way too long for any dog, especially for dogs like Dior who are smart & sensitive. And although he is resilient and making the best of it, he needs time in a home environment. And if you cannot commit permanently, no problem! FOSTERING is a great option. Come meet this much-loved, awesome dog!
