Description:

PLEASE go to our website www.collarofhope.org to read all information about our puppies, rescue, adoption process and to submit our adoption application. All of our information does not transfer to the adoption sites. Before completing our adoption application, please consider the following: Is someone home to raise and train this dog? Do you have a securely fenced yard? Can you give this dog a 15ish year commitment? This boy is a project dog so please read all of the information we've provided about him. Dalton came to us along with several other poodles from a breeder. All were under a year old and were in awful condition. They stunk terribly, were matted, overgrown ear and pad fur and were emaciated also. Dalton was one of the youngest, 17 weeks old then and he was by far the smallest and skinniest, weighing only 8 pounds . He will not be close to the size of a standard poodle even though that is his breed. He about 30 pounds now so he will be approximately 30-35ish pounds grown. He is engaging, sweet, lovable and will be your best friend! He has been incredibly hard to reliably potty train, even going in his crate if not let out when he needs to go and he eats everything he can get his mouth on which often gives him cow patty poop (he's cutting molars now). HE MUST HAVE A SECURELY FENCED YARD HE IS A PROJECT DOG WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM AN EXPERIENCED HANDLER. Our first priority was to get some healthy weight on them, basic vetting and had other testing done to confirm or rule out anything medical causing or because of the thin state. Everything came back clear. Their new home needs to be willing and able to continue his training, especially potty training and working with this dog. They obviously all came way behind the curve of where they should have been at their ages. If you apply for adoption of this or any poodle, you must provide your groomer reference phone number on the application. We will be calling them.
