AGE/GENDER: Born 9/9/2022), male BREED: Based on the DNA, Mark is a Great Dane, shepherd, lab, husky mix TEMPERAMENT: Playful, goofy though initially shy HOUSE TRAINING: Good on a consistent schedule. CRATE TRAINING: Good. He eats and sleeps in his crate. OTHER DOGS: Good! He does love other dogs! CATS: Good! Continued socialization will be important! CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Mark is healthy! He is altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: "Ick" was a part of an unwanted litter- like so many animals in rescue. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Mark is a sweet guy, who loves to run and play. He's very treat and affection motivated and wants nothing more than to please his people. He is a bit shy but can make friends quickly. Just give him a few minutes then he will (literally) be eating right from your hand. Mark is very dog-social and great with dogs of all ages and sizes and has lots of friends- including a smaller dog that can take him down if she wants to. A fter he's done playing h e is equally as happy to lay next to you and relax, being the good boy that he is! Mark has mastered basic training with us and knows how to walk well on a leash, sit, down and is ready to learn more with your guidance! He enjoys walks and he is crate trained and housebroken, which would both be beneficial for him to continue in his new home, which can help him settle in and relax. He would love a home with someone experienced with building confidence in large dogs and who has a mentor dog for Mark to look up to and learn from. He does truly enjoy being with other dogs and it'd be great for him to have that going forward. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! ************************ ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-powered, foster-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. WE ARE FOSTER BASED- which means: There is nowhere for you to go to see animals today. Animals are VIEWED BY APPT ONLY. No casual meetings, unless at one of our events. Animals receive one-on-one, 24/7 care in a private, volunteer foster home, which is individualized for their needs Through their foster placement, we get to know the animals well, which translates to accurate and customized matching service for you! As a private, volunteer home is involved we cannot accommodate same-day adoption meetings or surrenders. Approved applicants can meet and adopt at an event, but otherwise, an application is still required and must be approved before an animal can go home. TO ADOPT, PLEASE: Email [email protected] and request an adoption application. The auto-responder (triggered when you email), also has a link. Applications are reviewed by volunteers and take at least 3-5 business days to complete once submitted. Please allow additional time if the application is not completed in its entirety and or there are further questions or clarifications needed to approve you. Missing information will delay your application and may cause you to miss out on the animal you seek. If so, we will work to match you with the next animal that suits your needs. Applicants are always told whether you are approved or not. Please do not jump to conclusions and make assumptions. Inquire if you feel you have not heard from us in a timely manner. Our goal is to find the right match for the animal in question, first- and therefore, to satisfy you by doing that, next. These decisions about compatibility are NOT personal- they are based 100% on the animal's needs. If an animal is deemed "not a good fit", this is not a rejection. Rather, you simply may not be a match for that animal- but when appropriate, we will suggest a different one that suits your needs and desires better. The animals are placed based on "best match" in the "timeliest manner"- not necessarily first come, first served. If two applications are equally appropriate, the one that came in first will be considered first. If an animal is online, it is available- however, this can change from the time you inquire for an application and submit it. There are many reasons animals may be removed from our listings, including: the animal has been matched with another applicant ahead of you in the process; the animal has been matched with you and you have not received the notice yet; the animal has become sick or has a new issue that needs to be assessed; an applicant changed their mind, etc. There are many more resources for you on our website to help prepare you for adoption. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for information about fostering, volunteering, fostering-to-adopt and more. Thanks for considering adoption, which saves the lives of animals in need. We look forward to helping you find your best match in a furry friend. Rock on- The Motley Zoo Crew
