NAME: Melinda May AGE/GENDER: 6 year old female BREED: Pit Bull mix TEMPERAMENT: Sweet, loyal and enthusiastic WEIGHT: About 55 pounds HOUSE TRAINING: She is fully house-trained. CRATE TRAINING: Good! OTHER DOGS: She does well with other dogs when given proper, slow introductions. CATS: NO CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $500 HEALTH: Melinda May is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. She came to us with pneumonia and is currently being treated for it. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care. HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Melinda May will instantly want to be your best friend and shadow. She is motivated by love and attention. She is high energy but settles in once in the house. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home, but she does need proper introductions and time to warm up to new dogs. She can play rough so would do best with another dog of same size. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes (or partnering pet stores) where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing and same day adoption. Due to the volunteer run structure and decentralized/ virtual nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals.
