Animal Profile: Beau is a handsome blue and white pittie mix boy who is joined us this holiday season from San Bernadino County, CA. He is estimated to be six months old and weighs just under 40 pounds. Kennel staff noted that he is initially shy and would need some help building his confidence, but he consistently seek out pets and attention. He tested well with all the other dogs he met and played with at the shelter, but preferred to stay near Kennel staff to get pets. Beau is looking forward to finding a loving home here in the Pacific Northwest! Foster Update: Beau aka “Duke Silver” is such a handsome boy who loves to snuggle and play. His personality is a really nice mix of super chill and playful. He still has some super awkward puppy in his play style and mannerisms - often bouncing around, flopping or stumbling over himself. He will happily play with the resident dog or his people, he LOVES to play tug-of-war with his foster sister but he is also super content playing with toys on his own. Beau is a bit timid at first when meeting new people (men in particular) and the big world is a bit loud but he warms up quickly is getting used to adventuring. He would love to have another playful dog in the house to help show him the ropes but with the right active family, he would be fine as a solo dog too. Beau recently was introduced to a cat and did just fine - he showed little to no interest in them so with a slow intro and supervision he could live with cats too. We will provide more updates as we continue to learn more about this sweet boy. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
