Male Dog, German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd Dog (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Zack: The Resilient and Playful German Shepherd Puppy! Introducing Zack, a spirited male German Shepherd puppy who is looking for his forever home. Zack's journey has been one of resilience and recovery, and he's now ready to bring joy and excitement to his new family. Zack’s Highlights: Potty Trained: Zack is fully potty trained, making him a wonderful addition to any home. Crate Rest Survivor: After several months of crate rest to recover from a fractured pelvis, Zack has learned to be comfortable in a crate. However, he now has a newfound excitement for playtime and loves being out and about! Excited Explorer: During his recovery, Zack did slow, short walks and was always eager to explore. He walks well on a gentle leader and good dog collar, though he could use some more training on a leash and flat collar. Learning Basic Obedience: Zack is currently working on basic obedience commands but is new to the concept due to his previous injuries. With slow and limited off-leash playtime, he's learning how to play with other dogs appropriately. Cheerful Chewer: Zack missed some early puppy training, so he may chew items in the house and steal shoes. He doesn't always know the difference between a dog toy and a human "no-no," but he redirects easily with dog toys and loves bene-bones and chew toys. Loves Attention: Zack loves interacting with people and getting lots of attention. He needs to be watched closely when out of a crate and could benefit from a basic obedience class. Nose Work Enthusiast: During his recovery, Zack practiced nose work training and has become really good at finding "hidden" treats. High Energy: Due to his age and previous activity restrictions, Zack has high energy. He currently enjoys three 30-minute off-leash periods with other dogs, but his playtime is gradually increasing. Once fully recovered, he will need backyard zoomies and daily walks but won't require hours and hours of playtime. Zack is very sweet, dog-friendly, people-friendly, and ready to enjoy the perks of not being exercise restricted. If you’re looking for a resilient, playful, and loving companion, Zack might be the perfect addition to your family! Bring Zack into your life and enjoy the love, joy, and playfulness he brings every day.
